Who we are

PerkClub Limited ("we", "us") is a UK company that operates the PerkClub membership platform. We are the data controller for personal data described in this notice. Our website is https://perkclub.io. For privacy enquiries, contact hello@perkclub.io.

Scope of this notice

This notice covers two groups of people:

  • Website visitors — anyone browsing perkclub.io. This is covered in the sections immediately below.
  • Members — people who have joined, or are about to join, a paid membership programme that a merchant runs using PerkClub. This is covered in the dedicated “If you’re a member of a merchant’s programme” section further down.

Separate terms apply when an independent business (a Merchant) signs up to and uses the PerkClub platform — see our terms of service and the data processing agreement provided to Merchants at signup.

What we collect on this website

  • Contact form submissions: if you ask us to get in touch, we collect the name, business name, email address, and (optional) phone number you provide.
  • Technical data: standard server logs containing IP address, user agent, and request URL — used to operate and secure the site.
  • Usage analytics: aggregate, anonymous page-view metrics. Cookieless metrics are collected without cookies; more detailed analytics are collected only if you accept analytics cookies.
  • Advertising: if you accept advertising cookies, the Meta (Facebook) pixel and Google tags let us build a retargeting audience and measure ad performance. You can decline this and still use the site fully.
  • Cookies and similar technologies: see our cookie policy.

How we use it

We use the information above to reply to your enquiries, keep the site running and secure, understand how the site is used, and improve our marketing content. We do not sell personal data to third parties.

Legal bases

  • Legitimate interests: to operate, secure, and improve our website, and to respond to enquiries you initiate with us.
  • Consent: for optional analytics and advertising cookies on this website.

Sub-processors for this website

The following providers process personal data on our behalf when you use the marketing website:

  • Vercel — hosting, content delivery, and cookieless, privacy-respecting visitor analytics.
  • Resend — email delivery for contact-form enquiries you send us.
  • Google — Google Analytics and (where enabled) Google Ads, with your consent, for traffic analytics and advertising measurement.
  • Meta — the Meta (Facebook) pixel, with your consent, for building a retargeting audience and measuring advertising.

Each of these providers may process data outside the UK. Where that happens, we rely on the UK addendum to the EU Standard Contractual Clauses (or another approved transfer mechanism) to ensure equivalent protection.

Your rights

Under UK GDPR you have the right to access, correct, port, or delete your personal data, restrict or object to processing, and lodge a complaint with the Information Commissioner’s Office. To exercise any of these rights, email hello@perkclub.io.

Retention

Contact-form submissions are kept for as long as needed to follow up on your enquiry, and for a reasonable period afterwards. Server logs are typically retained for up to 90 days.

Security

All traffic to perkclub.io is encrypted in transit (TLS). Access to the systems that process personal data is limited to authorised staff and service-role credentials.

Automated decision-making

We do not use personal data collected on this website for automated decision-making or profiling that produces legal or similarly significant effects on individuals.

Children

This website is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 13.

If you’re a member of a merchant’s programme

This section applies if you have joined, or are about to join, a paid membership programme that an independent business (a "Merchant") runs using PerkClub. You are entering a membership contract with the Merchant; PerkClub provides the technology that powers the sign-up, billing, wallet pass, and redemption experience.

What we collect about you

  • Account details: your name and email address.
  • Subscription and redemption data: which Merchant programme you joined, the plan you chose, your renewal status, and a record of perks you have redeemed.
  • Payment details: processed by Stripe — we do not see or store your full card number.
  • Wallet pass identifiers: the token used by Apple Wallet or Google Wallet to deliver and update your membership pass.
  • Support communications: if you email us with a question, the contents of that conversation.
  • Technical data: standard server logs (IP address, user agent, request URL) when you use the member-facing parts of the Platform.

How we use it

We use this data to deliver the Merchant’s membership programme to you: sign you up, take payment, issue and update your wallet pass, allow you to redeem perks, send transactional communications, and resolve support requests. We do not sell personal data to third parties and we do not send marketing communications to members.

Who we share your data with

We share your name, email, and subscription details with the Merchant whose programme you joined, so they can deliver the perks you have signed up for. The Merchant is responsible for how they use your data outside the PerkClub Platform — see the Merchant’s own privacy policy for details.

We also use a small number of trusted service providers to operate the Platform:

  • Stripe — payment processing.
  • Supabase — database, authentication, file storage.
  • Vercel — hosting and content delivery.
  • Render — hosting for our backend API.
  • Resend — transactional email delivery.
  • Axiom — log aggregation and tracing.
  • Sentry — application error monitoring.
  • Apple and Google — Apple Wallet and Google Wallet pass issuance and updates; “Sign in with Apple” and Google sign-in.

Each of these providers is contractually obliged to handle your data under equivalent UK GDPR protections.

International transfers

Several of the providers above are based outside the United Kingdom, primarily in the United States. Where personal data is transferred internationally, we rely on the UK addendum to the EU Standard Contractual Clauses, the UK International Data Transfer Agreement (IDTA), or another approved transfer mechanism to ensure your data continues to receive equivalent protection.

Retention

We keep your account and subscription data for as long as your PerkClub account is active. After you cancel, transactional records (purchases, payments, redemptions) are retained for up to six (6) years to meet UK accounting and tax obligations. Other personal data is deleted or anonymised when no longer needed.

Your rights

Under UK GDPR you have the right to:

  • access the personal data we hold about you;
  • correct inaccurate or incomplete information;
  • request deletion of your personal data;
  • receive a copy of your data in a portable format;
  • restrict or object to certain processing;
  • not be subject to decisions based solely on automated processing.

To exercise any of these rights, email hello@perkclub.io. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the UK Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk.

Marketing

PerkClub does not send marketing communications to members. The only emails we send are about your account or subscription (welcome, receipts, renewal reminders, perk-expiry notifications, security alerts, service updates). The Merchant whose programme you joined may contact you separately, in accordance with their own privacy policy.

Children

PerkClub memberships are intended for adults aged 18 or older. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 13. If you believe a child has signed up, email hello@perkclub.io and we will delete the account.

Changes to this notice

We’ll update this page when we make material changes and update the "last updated" date above.
